Explore the great outdoors with Baumholder Outdoor Recreation on an ATV (All Terrain Vehicle). Taking an ATV tour is a great way to see beautiful scenery while having fun.

Riding with a guide who knows where to go can make the experience even better! Tours can be tailored to your personal preference. You can go on winding back roads through scenic villages and country sites as well as on relaxing nature rides along local rivers to some of the greatest sites in the area.

Each person must complete the ATV online safety course which takes about 2.5 hours, and have a valid USAREUR license. Outdoor Recreation will assist you with the online course requirements.

All driving will be done on hard-top roads and not off-road.

  • Departure: 10 a.m. from Baumholder Outdoor Recreation, Smith Barracks, Bldg. 8167
  • Explore a 100km local areas, to include Baumholder, Kusel Castle, Freisen Wind Park, and Bostal See
  • Return: 4 p.m.

Please bring:

  • Military ID Card
  • Euros for lunch
  • Valid USAREUR license
  • Printed Online Test Certification for ATV Safety Course
  • Comfortable, weather appropriate shoes and clothing
Cost

$75 per person*

Cost includes:

  • Use of ATV for the duration of the ride with a full tank of gas and fuel refills at designated stops
  • A helmet
  • Reflective belt
  • Road/area maps

*Only one person per ATV. Tour times may vary due to traffic, weather, and other circumstances.

Registration Information

You must register no later than the Thursday prior to the tour. Each tour is limited to 8 persons. To be able to participate in the tour you must complete an online ATV safety course.
