Note: This event has already passed.

The tradition of “Rhein in Flames” can be traced back to 1756 on the Middle Rhine.

In the 1700's they used fireworks to celebrate the arrival of newly elected officials to visiting royalty. The spectacle now has developed into the largest event of its kind. Every year, “The Rhine in Flames” attracts hundreds of thousands of people to the Middle Rhine. It is one of the most important fireworks events with the largest passenger ship convoy in Europe and maybe even the world.
