Eligible patrons include Active Duty Military, Reserve, Retirees, DoD Civilians and dependents on official orders or on private business and their guests. Retirees must be in country for 30 days prior to utilizing the Lodge and must have a customs stamp. U.S. Residents can stay on an unofficial travel status and can make their reservations 7 days prior to arrival date.
All patrons booking a room must be over 18 years of age and have a valid military or dependent ID.
Government Contractors must have Individual Logistics Support (ILS) within the scope of the contract AND the contractor employee must have TESA/ASSA status under the NATO SOFA German Supplementary Agreement.
Lodging is provided on an equal basis, regardless of rank, race, color, religion, national origin, gender, family status or handicap.
Guidance pertaining to use the Lagerhof Inn is in line with Army regulations. Specific guidance may be found in Army Regulation 215–1, Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Activities and Non-appropriated Fund Instrumentalities.

Cancellations & Late Arrivals
All reservations must be confirmed at least 48 hrs prior to the scheduled arrival date. If there was a failure to confirm the reservation, it will be released/cancelled at 6:00 p.m. on the scheduled date of arrival.
Please notify our staff at the time of booking if you are expected to arrive after 6 p.m. to ensure your booking is not cancelled.
If your reservations are confirmed and your itinerary has changed notify the receptionist desk prior to 6:00 p.m. on the date of arrival or sooner, in order to prevent your status being listed as a no-show.
If you have a confirmed reservation and cannot check in by 10:00 p.m. please follow instructions for Arrivals after hours.

Pets are allowed at the Lagerhof Inn, however there is a non reimbursable fee for room fumigation of $50 and $10 a day pay charges. Guests traveling with pets are responsible for care of their pets in and out of the rooms. Pets are not authorized to be left in the room unattended unless in a pet kennel and guests are required to pick-up after their pets in the pet walk areas. Guests are responsible for all damage caused while staying at the Lagerhof Inn.

Yes, a "Sunrise Startup" Continental Breakfast is offered with each room reservation and offers an assorted, fresh breakfast menu, including bagels, assorted muffins, healthy/sweet cereal, boiled egg, low fat/regular milk, oatmeal, orange juice, apple juice, fruit, etc.
4. Where is the closest airport?
The closest airport is the Ramstein Passenger Terminal ran through the Department of Defense's Air Mobility Command (AMC) offering travel services for authorized personnel via Space Available (Space A) travel. The Ramstein Passenger Terminal is located on Ramstein Air Base (RAB) located in Ramstein, Germany, which is located about 20 minutes (by car) from Baumholder. Otherwise, Frankfurt International Airport is your next option. It is located about 1 hour and 30 minutes (by car) from Baumholder.
5. Is there an airport shuttle service available?
Baumholder Army Lodging offers complimentary shuttle services for eligible Military personnel to the Ramstein Passenger Terminal who are in-transit due to a Permanent Change of Station (PCS) or Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY) when coordinated through their Units In-processing Training Center (ITC). This shuttle service is only offered to Ramstein Air Base on Tuesdays (6:15 a.m. departure) and must be coordinated in advance through the ITC department for eligibility. For specific times and other information, please partner with our friendly staff for details.
Other shuttle services are available through companies on the German economy. Please partner with our friendly staff for shuttle service recommendations to and from the Ramstein Passenger Terminal or the Frankfurt International Airport. For most new arrivals to Baumholder, the Lagerhof is the first contact they have with the community. The staff of the Lagerhof is well aware of this and is therefore eager to make new arrivals feel welcome and comfortable as they embark on their European tour of duty.

The original three buildings making up the Lagerhof Inn were constructed in 1932 - 1934 and used as a kurhotel by a private firm. During the war years it was used by the German forces. US Military forces began using this facility the early 1950's A complete renovation started in 1983. The Lagerhof reopened in 1984. In 1999 a new building was added to make up the present Lagerhof Inn.
