Warrior Challenge 5K Run

The Fitness, Athletics and Aquatics Program is proud to host a free Warrior Challenge 5K run with exercises on March 14 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Hall of Champions Physical Fitness Center, Bldg. 8105, on Smith Barracks.
The run will commence at 9 a.m.
The "Spartan-style" 5-kilometer run is designed to test cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Interested participants can Google "Spartan runs" to see the setup and style of these runs.
The run includes five different exercise stations throughout the course, which must be completed to continue the 5 kilometers. Examples of exercises traditionally included:
- Burpee with a long jump
- Hill run
- Hand-release push-ups
- Steps & Sandbag Carry
Note: The exercises may vary or change, and judges will be stationed at each exercise station to ensure proper form and number of exercises are performed.
- Medals will be awarded to male and female participants who finish in first, second or third place.
- The event is exclusively for adults 18 and older.
Kindly note that participants who fail to complete the required repetitions will receive a (-1) minute time penalty added to their finish time.
