Beer Tour and Tasting

Take part in a guided tour of a historic beer cellar, were you will descend 153 steps down into the deepest storage and fermenting cellar in the world. Here you can find out what the volcanic eruption of the Laacher Lake has to do with the beer and combined with facts and history will peak anyone’s interests. After your cellar tour, you will have time to have lunch there at the brewery just don’t fill up on food as you have one more tour after lunch.

For beer lovers, enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys creative craftsmanship will look forward to a guided beer tasting by VULKAN Brew Masters. Understanding how the impressive variety of flavors in beer comes about makes every participant in the beer tasting a real connoisseur. After tasting the brews stored in bourbon barrels from Kentucky, you will understand why they were awarded the best craft beer in Germany in 2017.

Once the tour is complete, you will have time to stock up on your favorite brews from their brewery shop. The trip isn’t complete without a stopover in Koblenz. Spend the afternoon exploring all of what Koblenz has to offer, to include the Deutsches Eck or a gondola ride up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress.

Appropriate footwear is required.

Warm clothing is recommended as cellar temperatures are approximately 8-9 degrees C.

People with walking difficulties and or breathing issues should refrain from visiting.
