This free symposium is an important opportunity for military spouses to connect to the community, resources, skills for self-improvement and assets to assist in career development. This one day online event is designed to educate new and experienced military spouses about specific resources and a few small giveaways to attendees at the online event for Military Spouses in the USAG Rheinland-Pfalz footprint only.

All military spouses are welcome to attend the Virtual Military Spouse Symposium, no matter what phase of career they’re in – from a first-time job seeker to an experienced professional.

- Learn tips and tricks to better manage our energy in our day to day lives. From mental agility to self regulation, learn to better control our ability to perform in our personal and professional lives.

11:00 a.m. Financial Health for Military Families: Budgeting & Developing Your Spend Plan
- Looking for ways to improve your financial readiness? Look no further, creating a budget, setting goals and making a spend plan can be just what you need today!


11:30 a.m. Do you want to make a difference in a child’s life during a difficult period? EPC- Info on becoming an Emergency Placement Care provider and where/how to refer if you ever notice someone that may be in need.


11:50 a.m. Make a difference: Empower EFMP Families
- Living overseas is an amazing adventure and opportunity, how can we as a community support our EFMP Families so that they may enjoy the European adventure undeterred by their unique needs.


12:10 p.m. New Parent Support Q&A Session
- Becoming a parent is one of the most wonderful yet challenging times in a person's life! Doing so overseas away from family only makes it all the more. If it’s your 1st, 2nd, 3rd or more, we can help.


12:30 p.m. Breath-Work! "Activating Your Relaxation Response"
- Practical application of Breathing Meditation & Progressive Muscle Relaxation. What it is, why it works, and how to do it.


1:00 p.m. Build Friendship & Community through Voluntary Spouse Sponsorship
- Provide new Spouses and Family members with needed information prior to arrival, upon arrival and after arrival to ensure they are set up for success as they adapt to their new Host Nation. This is your chance to be the first positive impression while building Friendships and Community involvement.


2:00 p.m. Employment Q&A Discussion
- Guided discussion on tools/resources to help you on enhancing your own career while managing the unique demanding challenges created by being a Military Spouse overseas in Europe.


2:45 p.m. Give Back to Get More: Volunteering in your Community
- How to be better volunteer. VMIS functions and tools available to improve your volunteerism.


3:00 p.m. USAG RP Community Strength & Themes Assessment

3:15 p.m. Energy through Movement with Casey from USO
- Join Casey from USO Kaiserslautern for a quick 15 minute calisthenics session to discover new ways to recharge yourself and increase physical energy when you need it most.

- How to create a resume that highlights your skills and accomplishments in a way that mitigates gaps in employment history and changes of location.
