High-intensity interval training, or "HIIT" classes alternate between hard core give-it-your-all bursts of exercise,and brief periods of active recovery.
This type of training keeps your heart rate up for cardiovascular benefits and has also been shown to burn more fat in less time than traditional methods of exercise.
