Estimated Itinerary

Thursday: Departure

After settling into your seat, lean back and relax while your comfortable coach whisks you away to Hamburg, Germany’s second largest city and the first destination in your multi-city trip. Don’t forget the essentials for your overnight ride. Blankets, pillows, power banks, and drinks will all help make your overnight journey to the Baltic Sea more enjoyable.

Friday: Hamburg | Sail to Oslo

After time for breakfast in Hamburg, you will have the opportunity to explore the harbor area or vibrant center of one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan cities. If you choose to take a harbor tour by boat, your route will depend on the status of the tide and the water levels in the busy port. Your tour boat captain will pick out the best route for your specific tour based on up-to-the-second conditions. After your morning in Hamburg, you will continue to Kiel where you will board the Color Fantasy for your overnight sailing to Oslo. Your floating hotel is the world’s largest cruise ship with a car deck and features twelve restaurants and bars, shopping, entertainment, a casino and even a water park.

Saturday: Oslo and Gothenburg

After a guided tour of Oslo, you will have the chance to explore the Norwegian Capital on your own before continuing to Gothenburg in the afternoon. Gothenburg is Sweden’s second largest city and primary gateway to the west, and its connection to the sea is shown in its maritime city’s flair. Your hotel in the old city will be a great home base to use for exploring Gothenburg’s downtown district. Five restaurants in Gothenburg have been awarded a Michelin Star, so regardless of where you eat, you are sure to taste something worth remembering.

Sunday: Helsingborg | Helsingir | Kronburg Castle | Copenhagen

Before departing Sweden, you will stop in Helsingborg for a chance to sample and shop for Swedish specialties before taking a brief ferry crossing to Denmark where you will find Kronborg Castle, immortalized as Elsinore in Hamlet. While it is unknown whether Shakespeare actually visited the castle he set Hamlet in, or not, Kronborg Castle is one of the most important Renaissance castles in Northern Europe and will greet you to Denmark as you arrive by ship. This afternoon, a guided tour of Copenhagen will familiarize you with the famous locations in the downtown and Nyhavn districts. You can spend your evening in Copenhagen enjoying a smorgasbord dinner experience or a visit to Tivoli Gardens, the world’s oldest amusement park, found conveniently in the heart of the city.

Monday: Return to Kaiserslautern
