Known not just as "a German ski resort," but "THE German ski resort," the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the perfect destination for a winter sports Saturday. This legendary area features 40 kilometers of marked ski runs across three different mountains, including the family-friendly Hausberg, long valley runs like the world-famous "Kandahar" downhill race trail, and above-the-tree-line bowls on the flanks of the Alpspitze. You can even take the historic cogwheel train to the Zugspitze glacier ski area to ski at the "Top of Germany." Best of all, you will have access to the American Hausberg Lodge, the ultimate, convenient base station for grabbing lunch, warming up, or enjoying après-ski activities at the end of your day.
During the ski season's pre-season, the Ski Express rolls to the highest resorts in Germany and Austria, including Stubai, Sölden, Ischgl, and the Zugspitze, ensuring you find great snow conditions long before the valleys . On every trip, you can expect:
- World-Class Slopes: Wake up rested and ready to conquer some of the most famous ski areas in Europe.
- No Skills? No Problem! Beginner ski and snowboard lessons are available from our PSIA/AASI-trained instructors.
- No Gear? No Fear! We offer free equipment rentals on all ski trips. Better yet, you only need to get fitted once for the entire season.
- Hassle-Free Rentals: Reserve your gear when you register. Kaiserslautern passengers grab pre-staged gear at morning check-in, while Baumholder passengers pick theirs up the day before departure.
From fresh morning powder to breathtaking mountain views, your ultimate alpine day trip is waiting. To make your ski day even better, an early-bird discount applies until the 22nd seat is filled.
