The run includes five different exercise stations throughout the course, which must be completed to continue the 5 kilometers. Examples of exercises traditionally included are Burpee with a long jump, hill run, hand-release push-ups, steps, and sandbag carry. However, the exercises may vary or change, and judges will be stationed at each exercise station to ensure proper form and number of exercises are performed.

The event has only two categories: adult males and females. Medals will be awarded to male and female participants who finish in first, second or third place. The event is exclusively for adults 18 and older. Kindly note that participants who fail to complete the required repetitions will receive a (-1) minute time penalty added to their finish time.
