ASAP Community Ready and Resilience (R2) Integrator (CR2I)

The ASAP Community Ready and Resilience (R2) Integrator (CR2I) is the key advisor to commanders, at all levels, on health promotion efforts to integrate, synchronize and assess R2 improvements. The CR2I ensures coordination between unit command teams, local agency resources and installation leadership and helps implement mitigation strategies to lower high risk areas amongst the Soldier population. The CR2I plans and coordinates the Commander’s Risk Forum and the Community R2 Counsel.

ASAP Drug Testing Coordinators (DTC)

The ASAP Drug Testing Coordinators (DTC) are subject matter experts for military drug testing procedures, the turn-in point for urinalysis samples, and conduct civilian random and pre-employment drug testing. The DTCs also provide Unit Prevention Leader (UPL) initial certification courses and recertification training.

ASAP Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides short-term problem- solving counseling, coaching and mentoring sessions, referrals, and follow-up services for Army civilian employees (GS/NAF/WG), Retirees, and adult Family Members. Additionally, EAP Coordinators provide consultations to supervisors and managers and prevention education classes for civilian work centers. EAP offers help to resolve issues affecting employee effectiveness and productivity at work, such as work/life imbalance, stress, workplace conflict, financial difficulties, substance abuse, relationship concerns and parenting difficulties.

ASAP Prevention Education Program

The ASAP Prevention Education Program provides substance abuse awareness training to military units and civilian work centers. Presentation can be held in-person or virtually. Prevention coordinators utilize various training aids to allow training to be experiential for participants.

ASAP Risk Reduction Program (RRP)

The ASAP Risk Reduction Program (RRP) provides a means to help commanders reduce high-risk behavior in their Soldiers. The RRP Coordinator provides tools to assist commanders in ascertaining and mitigating high-risk behavior. These tools include the Unit Risk Inventory (URI) and the Commander’s Risk Reduction Toolkit. The RRP Coordinator plans and coordinates the Installation Prevention Team meetings.

ASAP Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program

The ASAP Suicide Awareness and Prevention Program works in conjunction with the Community Ready and Resilience Council (CR2C) to ensure suicide awareness and prevention activities are carried out. The Suicide Prevention Program Manager (SPPM) serves as a commander’s subject matter expert on Army policy, procedure and training requirements related to suicide prevention. The SPPM can provide training resources and coordinates train-the-trainer courses within the community.
