Preparing early can prevent stress later. MD&SSO offers classes and briefings to help service members and families feel ready before deployment begins.

These sessions are designed to answer common questions and help families plan ahead so there are fewer surprises while a loved one is away.

What You’ll Learn

Pre-deployment support may include:

  • Legal planning (wills, powers of attorney)

  • Healthcare and enrollment information

  • Financial readiness and emergency assistance

  • Child and youth services

  • Community and support resources

Classes may be offered through unit briefings or family readiness group meetings to make attendance easier.
