German Hunting Course in Baumholder & Kaiserslautern

Baumholder Outdoor Recreation is hosting the German Hunting Course from August 9 to October 19, in Baumholder and from August 12 to October 18, in Kaiserslautern.

The German Hunting Course is an intensive 8-to-10-week program that covers all facets of hunting in Germany.

Cost is $250 and the Hunting, Fishing Sport Shooting (HFSS) Membership fee. Open to hunters ages 18 and older, who are U.S. citizens/I.D. card holders. Course participants earn a life-long hunting certification, which is valid throughout Europe. Limited spaces available for this course. During this course, participants will learn land management, game disease and harvest plans.

Baumholder Class Schedule: Saturday & Some Sundays: 10-1600

Kaiserslautern Class Schedule: Wednesdays & Thursdays: 6 - 9:00 p.m.

Participants must attend all classes offered throughout the week to progress toward certification.

This course involves:

• Field trips
• Reserve maintenance
• Shotgun, pistol, and long gun qualifications.

Required documents to be filled out:

• FBI Background Check
• Hunting Registration Form
• HFSS Membership (Fee Associated to length of Membership)

Participants will be required to take a German proctored exam comprising of Weapons Safety, Written exam, Oral exam, and Shooting. Once the exam is successfully completed, participants will be awarded a certificate of completion 215-145E.
