Baumholder Winter Hunting Course

Baumholder and Kaiserslautern community members can hunt and own firearms in Germany by taking the Baumholder Outdoor Recreation’s Winter Hunting Course from Sep. 10 to Dec. 12 in Bldg. 8167 on Smith Barracks. 

• Classes are in English and are held on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
• Cost is $250, plus ammo, range and German Proctor fees.  
• Open to all hunters ages 18 and older, who are U.S. citizens/I.D. cardholders.
• Limited spaces available.
• Course participants earn a life-long hunting certification, which is valid throughout Europe. 
• All classes are mandatory.
