Stop Unauthorized Child Care

Unauthorized child care is any child care provided in government housing for more than 10 child care hours per week as established by the Department of Army to protect children from being in unauthorized child care settings on a regular basis.

Child care hours are calculated based on the number of children in care . For example, one child in care for 10 hours each week or 2 children in care for 5 hours each week. Anyone who provides more than 10 hours of child care per week must be certified as a Family Child Care Provider through Child and Youth Services.

Providing unauthorized child care has consequences that may include you and your Sponsor losing on-post housing privileges.
